ZuriMap is a free, independent decision tool for comparing Zurich’s 34 statistical quarters and checking residential addresses before renting.
Renters often have to compare rent, travel time, road noise, green space and nearby services across separate sources. ZuriMap brings those signals together, shows the trade-offs, and links back to the methodology so users can judge whether a value is suitable for their decision.
A page should answer a real housing decision, not exist only to target a keyword.
Official measurements, summarized data, derived estimates and modelled ZuriMap scores are described as different kinds of evidence.
The displayed snapshot date changes only when data or substantive content changes—not to manufacture freshness.
Quartier averages are not presented as facts about a street, building or apartment.
Numerical claims should identify their measurement period and link to the public source where one is available.
A confirmed error should be fixed in the shared data, formula or template so every affected page is updated consistently.
Neighborhood profiles, comparisons, rankings and FAQs are generated from one shared structured dataset and reusable page templates. This keeps values and explanations synchronized across English and German pages. Automated tests check formulas, internal links, language alternates, metadata and sitemap membership. Some explanatory copy is prepared with software-assisted drafting; factual values and conclusions should remain traceable to the shared data and stated method.
The current ZuriMap site snapshot is June 2026. Each underlying source has its own measurement and publication period; the methodology page records those differences.
A correction should identify the affected page, metric or wording and the most relevant primary source. Confirmed issues are corrected in the shared data, calculation or template; affected pages are regenerated and tested. When a correction materially changes the published evidence or conclusion, the snapshot date or publication history is updated as appropriate.
ZuriMap is not affiliated with the City of Zurich. Public authorities and OpenStreetMap are data sources, not publishers or endorsers of ZuriMap’s scores. Links to rental portals lead to third-party sites whose listings, availability, prices and terms are outside ZuriMap’s control.
